- The "football" me. Trialed for Hallam FC (in my teens) but catching 2 buses from Woodseats to training and back soon lost it's appeal. Played for Sheffield Heeley but, whilst injured (a bad knee that still gives me grief in damp weather), I got distracted by playing guitar in a rock band (rock & roll and football definitely don't mix)! Hung up my boots after playing for the Kennings (Motor Group) team. Managed a Falcons team from Under 12's to Seniors and got my coaching badge. Chairman of Beighton Falcons - of which I am enormously proud. Lifelong "Blade".
